Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

What shotgun would you recommend for a female looking to turkey hunt?

I'd like something very reasonably priced as I don't know how often I'll be able to hunt. I've seen some Mossbergs at Wal Mart that seemed reasonable but wasn't sure. I'd like something that is easy for a small-statured woman to handle.

I'd go with an 8 gauge if you can find one.

My 12 year old daughter uses a mossberg 20 ga bantum.

Nice little gun.

A semi-auto 20ga will do fine. My wife has a Rem. 1100 20ga. She's busted turkey, pheasants and a ducks with it.

Right, a 20 gauge shotgun will do the job, but don't forget the bullets! A Remington 870 Express Magnun would fit it right. (7.25 lbs is not that much)

20 Gage with a good chock and ammo will do just fine. Good hunting to ya!

All these guys have directed you in a great direction. The only thing I can add is to make sure the gun has screw in chokes but the 20 ga direction is great and I can say that its my favorite and it will take birds.

Good luck in your decision
