Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Most of them have been 100-150 yds.The one this year I used the terrain to get within 35 yds and just had to coax him out in the open for a shot.

I watched my first Tom of this year come all the way across a 150-200 yard field. I am not sure how far he had come to get to the field---but my guess would be no more than 50 yards.

My longest ever was three ridges, about 1/2 mile. This year' s were 50 yards, 70 yards and 125 yards to gun range.

The one I bagged this year I would guess from 150-200 yards but earlier in the morning I worked two Toms from about 500-600 yards away, and they hung up on a creek @ around 150 yards before they left. LOts of long open ridges and the sounds just carry for a long ways
