I bought the 835 deer/turkey combo.I like it a lot but there's no question the Browning is higher quality. It really comes down to how much you want to spend.Myself I'd buy the 835 and use the 380 diff towards another gun.You can never have to many

Yea, it could be an idea, but isn't .22lr a little too small for turkey? You know, a turkey is kinda tough...
Personally, I think I would have bought a shotgun (pump or semi) or a Remington 700 SPS in .308win or maybe .223 (5.56mm).

Both will do just fine for you. It really does come down to personal taste.
The 24" barrel on the BPS may or may not be easier to get a good pattern with. In all the testing that I have done the "overbored" barrels tend to be easier to pattern than "standard" sized barrels so you should not have a problem with either barrel getting a good pattern.
Personally, I would go with the BPS but again that is just personal preference.

Well yea, in the end it would kill it, but I wouldn't use it for putting the animal out of pain if its not already dead after a shotgun shot.
They are hard shot, and I guess you would need to hit them in the neck or their head to be sure to kill them?
