You can have the most beautiful pattern in the world and yet lack the energy to kill a turkey. Turkeys are tough birds, especially if the are nervous or spooked. Heavier than lead shot will carry more downrange energy, and in the vast majority of cases, provide a betterpattern. Yes, lead will kill turkeys, but heavier than lead loads just gives the extra confidence.

looks pretty good to me, especially for 4s. when i shot 2.75s, i got excellent results from winchester supreme #5s, 1 5/8 oz.

Sup02, I shoot the same thing and have put the hammer down on quite a few turkeys with it out to 50 yds.
