Default roosting birds...

i forgot to get up this morning and go see where my turkeys are roosting and the season opens saturday and i am unsure of wehre they roost...i know where they did last year but i seen alot of sign out of the normal area from last year..i just want to make sure my path im taking to my set up it turkey free so im not busted before i start hunting...i was wondering when i should go back and sit and wait to hear them fly up for the nite..also will they shock gobble to a crow call?? thanx...i just want to make them gobble once so i know where the gobblers are are..thanx alot....

If only for a good shock gobble call, you need to get a coyote howler. You can then shock gobble turkeys easily after sundown and I' ve shocked ' em as late as an hour and a half after sundown. I' ve never had very good luck with the crow call as a shocker, but the howler works very well after sundown and also works well very early in the morning before they are gobbling on thier own.
