Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default OPENING DAY IN MN

I JUST WANTED TO DROP A LINE AND TELL EVERYONE ABOUT A SUCCESSFUL OPENING DAY HUNT FOR MY DAD AND ME. WE BOTH GOT OUR BIRDS, DESPITE THE BRUTAL WEATHER. DAD' S 19 LB., 10" BEARD, 1" AND 7/8" SPURS. MINE 22 LBS., 9 1/2" BEARD, 3/4" AND 11/16" SPURS. THE KEY TO OUR HUNT WAS READING EVERYONES POSTS ON THIS FORUM, AND USING THIS INFORMATION TO BE SUCCESSFUL. WE HAD DONE OUR SCOUTING, KNEW WHERE THE BIRDS WERE, AND WERE VERY PATIENT. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR TIPS AND TACTICS.

Cograts on your birds and for just getting out and staying out. It truely was a very miserable day. I was actually pretty happy that I am hunting in Mid-May instead.

Those hunts with your family members make it that nuch more memorible.

Great job on the birds!! I know how bruttle the weather can be in Minnesota this time of the year. Hunts with family members are always special, enjoy the time you have together.
