Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Not yet I don't reckon anybody does. Thing just hit the market. Looks like a blow up doll to me..... but that doesn't mean you won't get a drunk sailor to give you ten dollars for it... (thats a joke).

IMO, the best looking turkey decoys I have seen (that aren't those poorly mounted $400 stuffed hens) are Dave Smith decoys. Second, though not a close second but a strong second anyway would be a widowmaker... which is what I use myself.

I borrowed the name from a friend of mine.... "The Whore", simply because its a real whore to carry around all day being large and plastic.... mine has some collateral damage..... mark of a good decoy there.... it ought to catch at least a few stray pellets... otherwise you are probably shooting them too far away

Plenty of holes in her head... and you can see the copper plated reflection of a couple more lodged in her chest. The gobbler trying to make it with her still caught the brunt of it though.

This is the Dave Smith (below)...My widowmaker (shown above) is good.... but this DSD has everything but a pulse.

Real Gobbler venting his frustrations at the DSD hen.

Widowmakers are about $100

Dave Smiths are about $120

Hey SwampCollie what decoy is that last pic where the gobbler is gobbling.

That is the Dave Smith. The close up picture of the head (the picture in the middle) is also that same decoy.

The top picture is my personal Widowmaker, they are made by Hard Core Decoys. Both Dave Smith and Hard Core primarily make waterfowl decoys (full body geese primarily), so a full body turkey is just a heartbeat away anyhow. I'd like to see them do a feeder or a contented hen position... both of them look fantasic and I know my widowmaker works exceptionally well, but both of them kinda have that uh oh look to them. Doesn't seem to bother the birds one bit though.

Bout the only place I know of to buy them is online. Just do a google search for dave smith decoys. I don't remember the URL right off the top of my head.

The widow maker is NOT foldable at all... its solid hard plastic (hard enough to stop a #6 cold at 30 yards and hold it there in sight). Ask Gamblinman about the DSD I know he has one, I don't believe it is colapsable either though.
