Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Bagged another one.

Kiilled my second one for the year .Man was it fun.I had a goobler calling this morning but could not get him away from a hen.About 9:30 I went back to camp and called my cousin on the radio. He had killed one with a 9" beard and want me to come get him with the 4 wheeler. When I got to him he told me about 2 he had seen across a clear cut but could not get them away from a hen .So I say lets go give it another shot.We crossed the clear cut and he called for me.Right off they started gobbling. After about 15 minutes they were within sight.Man my heart was pounding .they were about 25 yards away in full strut,Drumming ,the works. At one point I could have shot and probably killed both of them, but I wanted them a little closer and out from behind a bush. When the lead Turkey step out the rest was history. No one in my club hunts turkeys but me.So far I have taken 3 guess and we have taken a total of 8 birds and we still have another month left. Its almost as exciting As when a trohy buck walks out.Almost.

Congratulations on the good birds this spring, RET3006! Two birds down and a month to go, must be awesome to have a season that long! Good luck on the rest of your season.

Great job--nothing more exciting that getting that close to some gobblers. I too hunt in a club where only a few of us turkey hunt. Glad that I am able to hunt those areas.
