I HAVE HAD GREAT SUCCESS WITH THE MAD SUPER ALUMINATOR, AND THE H S STRUT TRIPLE GLASS. THE ALUM. WORKS WHEN IT' S WET WITH THE CARBON STRIKER. GREAT FOR RAINY DAYS. VERY VERSATILE, LOUD OR SOFT CALLING. THE TRIPLE GLASS IS BETTER FOR THE SOFT PURRS AND CLUCKS BUT IS ALSO GOOD FOR LOUD CUTTING. I NORMALLY CARRY BOTH JUST IN CASE THEY DON' T ANSWER ONE OF THEM.
IT SOUNDS LIKE THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD SLATE CALLS OUT THERE. IT' S JUST A MATTER OF PERSONAL PREFERENCE (BOTH THE HUNTER AND THE BIRDS).

hehe, You asked fer it !!
IMHO - Ive had several Slates, and Aluminum calls..... But I just purchased an American Friction Rock Bottom Glass just before the season started and I got me a Rosewood striker and WOOOOHHOOOO , Man does it sound good - Cant really say enough about the tone, soft or loud it sounds great. With the sweet sounds that come of that surface, I cant imagine another call sounding better ....If it does then I want one of them to.
I know everyones already given you the link but here it is again.
