Assuming you have pre-scouted the area you are planning to hunt. It is usually best if you can set-up your blind in advance of your hunt in the area he is roosting or going to feed or where he will be chasing his hens. Be in your blind, (ready to hunt),at least 30 mins before light. That gives it time to settle down to any noise you might make getting in or setting up your decoys. Place your decoys 15-20 yds from your blind. I like to place mine facing the blind, so the toms come between the decoys and blind to be seen by the hens.If you need to move on him it is good to have a pair of snips to make a quick brush blind or one of the half blinds by H.S. I always carry mine in my vest, it allows for some quick cover should you need to move. Good Luck to ya bud, n let us know how it works for ya.

most of a turkeys defence is to catch movement, if you are in a blind you need to act like you are standing out in the open. i see too many people hear something and lean forward to get a quick look and get caughtor swing their head side to side to get a better look at what is behind the bushes, that is exactly what a turkey is looking for. turkeys 95% of the time turkeys dont care or are un-aware of a blind, all you have to do is make sure you have openened up the minimal amount of windows and for sure don't open up windows on opposite sides cause this lets him see inside and through the blind.
calling is up to you, you don't have to do it right to get him to come in. just listen to someone doing a puring call and listen to a yelping call, then you try to remake it. your calling only gets better the more you hunt, that way you listen to the hens talk, and how the toms respond.
