I am thinking on getting an aftermarket choke for my Winchester 1300. You guys have any thoughts on this...

Check out the February issue of Field and Stream. A very good article on aftermarket chokes in there!

hastings, comp-n-choke, mad max turkey tube, briley, truglo. They all are good & all will work if you can match up your shells & choke to get a good pattern. I currently use hastings & have for years. I have had great luck with them & I really like the .660 choke for #5 or #6 shot. I have also patterned the comp-n-chokes & they are great too. I have also heard a lot of great things on the truglo's.

I currently have a Hastings extended turkey choke sized .665 on mine. This one works pretty good, but after seeing what that Tru-Glo strutstopper choke tube did out of my Rem. 11-87, I'm planing on getting a Tru-Glo for my 1300 as well. This also comes in a .665 restriction. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
