Default I'M GOING INSANE!!!!!

This season has driven me crazy! It is by far the worst season I've ever seen in my life! A combination of bad weather and bad luck has worked against me every time I go hunting. This season is shaping up to be the first year EVER i have gone birdless. Now I have a new problem. The gobblers have gone completely silent. Is this because they all have hens with them and don't need to gobble? If so, when the hens go to their nests will the gobbling activity pick back up? Thanks for any help, because it may save me from completely losing my mind.

Birds were really quite in Michigan too. Only heard one gobble in two weeks.

I have always heard that they will pick back up towards the end of the season but, it never seems to happen like that with me. It has been a rough season. For me, not so much the weather, but just the fact that I have not had that much action in my woods since the 2nd week of the season.

This season has really sucked! Around here they gobble pretty good on the roost but as soon as they hit the ground most of them quit gobbling. But i guess i can't complain too much b/c the only bird i have seen this year i killed.

For your sake I hope I'm wrong, but since you're in SW Georgia, those birds might be done for the year. I was down there for the first week and there were hens that were nesting then. I can't imagine they're still breeding down there. Good luck.

if you use the "no-excuse" policy that my family uses you will kill a lot more birds, trust me.
