I have 12ga870 super mag with the remington super full turkey choke that is 0.665. My patterns are pretty good but i was woundering if a ported choke tube like the Truglo Gobble stopper with the 0.665 would pattern better?

From my trails, I've found that the custom after-market chokes nearly always out perform standard factory turkey chokes. The porting on the finest custom chokes like the Black Diamond Strike from Indian Creek actually aid in seperating the shot wad/cup early so it won't exit the end of the barrel at the same time the shot pattern does, thus not distorting or deforming any of the pellets. However, most companies ports are a bit to small and ineffective to do much to the wad but they will aid in reducing recoil and muzzle jump by just a bit.
