Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Opening youth day in NC

Guy's, I don't post much over here, but did browse this forum pre-season. Here is a pic of my son's first turkey. Truth be told, this is basically our first official turkey hunting ever for the both of us. I've gone out twice before really just messing around years ago. I waited for my son to get old enough to really be serious. Thanks for all of your tips.

He shot this guy at 7:15am on a the one day we had to hunt the public gamelands and they were calling for rain all day. We hunted in my tent. At 7:10 these two appeared out in the planted field about 150 yards away. I hit the call once and that sent them running towards us and the decoy. The front one was a lot bigger, but as he got close he knew something was up. He took a turn for the woods and my son had to readjust by moving on to my lap and leaning backwards. I knew our chance we dwindling so I just told him, don't wait, take the shot you get. He took it and nailed him.

Sharon-Harris Nuke plant. Just over a 10" beard and 1" spurs.

My neighbor's boy comes back at noon. If he hasn't got one, I get to jump back in the woods andtry to put him on anthe evening gobbler before he get's back to his roost.

They went on alert,I whispered pick one and take him. He blew a big hole in the ground about a foot in front of closest bird.
