Default winchester x-tended range turkey loads

the box says "the winchester x-tended range shot is uniformly round and SOFTER THAN LEAD so you can use it with your favorite choke tube"....... am i to understand that i can use these shells with my favorite M.A.D. MAXX choke(even though it says lead only)..... if im correct the only reason new choke tubes are needed for the hevi-shot type loads is because they are to hard for the older choke tubes....am i reading the box correctly......i really love this choke and dont want another.....

My cousin uses that shell and to my knowledge has not changed chokes.Yes, with the Hevi-shot loads you will need a choke that is compatible.

I don't know about softer than lead. I'd be inclined to believe it though. I suspect they are using a tungsten and polymer mix, sort of like Kent did with TM shot.

I do know for a fact that Wingmaster, and the Extended Range Winchester shot are BOTH softer than traditional "hevi-shot" is.

The M.A.D. Max is not hevi shot compatible. The Super M.A.D. Max is. I would not try to shoot the xtnd range in the regular Max. You can buy the super, but it's going to cost you about $75.00.

that is what i shoot and i shoot them out of a regukar kicks gobblin thunder tube
thos shells are slightly harder then lead but softer then hevi's
and i called win. and was told that they are safe for regular tube
but then again i wouldn't shoot them out of a stock 10year old or older tube either
