Hmmm, lets is Central M, turkey capital of the world, I dream about it all the time. The place with more birds in one county than we have in the whole province. After the winter we`ve had this year I`m going to be planning something to get a head start on spring next year.

Turk, you are right, Missouri is the turkey hunting capitol of the world. I live and hunt in northern MO and it just couldn' t get any better than it is here.
I' ve never hunted central MO because it is so good right where I live that there is no need to look any further. I feel lucky to live in a place that has such good hunting for whitetail deer and especially the grand old Eastern turkey!

I had the miss fortune to be raised on the banks of one of the best rainbow trout rivers flowing into the Great lakes, sadly I take trout fishing for granted. Turkeys are a new thing here and every year the population grows. The first year I hunted I heard 3 birds gobble and have been hooked ever since. Someday I will make the trek to MO for some of those big black birds.(some of the birds that were released here came from Missouri originally)
