Wing flap
#1
How many of yas have had that tom coming in and before he gets into range he does the old wing flap. Folding that one wing over and start heading the other way. Its like hes saying nice try but Im not comin any farther. Just curious to see if anyone else has experienced that...

I've had more than my share quite at 80 yards and just start strutting and gobbling. Espeically in a field situation using decoys. I don't think I've ever had one coming and suddenly just turn off on his own. I've had hens run out to them, but never one I acctually saw coming just pick up and head off, not without being spooked or getting a better offer from a real hen coming to him.

Absolutely Arrow....if ya hunt em long enough its a gonna happen, all it takes is for them to see somethin not quite right or been in that situation before..
I always hate it when they quarter away so you get to watch em walk away longer....glad there not wise enough to give you the middle feather or I'm sure I would have been given a few!!!

I have had hens filing by with Gobbler in tow(all within range) When I about to touch one off. All of a sudden Gobbler tucks and runs away, leaving hens standing there. And I always thought the hens were the smarter ones.
