Is there anyway you can post a pic of that pattern? I would love to see it. I am not doubting what you say...I would just love to see the pattern. If I ever shot a pattern like that, I wouldn't ever throw that one away!

How many of those pellets are 7 shot in the 10" circle? Will 7 shot have enough energy to take a tom down at 50 yards, even being hevi-shot?

I'll see if I can get the target from him. He sent it to me on my cell phone but I could barely see it. He brought it over yesterday and I saw it then. It was definitely a meat grinder pattern. I shot 2 shots of Nitros yesterday, one with the Jelly Head .660 and the other with a Trulock .693 and the Jelly Head had 266 pellets, while the Trulock had 200 pellets in the 10 inch circle at 40 yards.

About those #7's. I've heard, and believe that the #7 Hevishot pelletshave the same amount of energy at 40 yards as a #5 lead pellet.

The patternsare a little low but I was basically shooting at the middle just to see what the pattern would do at 40 yards.

Here's the Jelly Head:

I believe that Federal does just that. If I am not mistaken, Federal is the only company that loads turkey load shells in #7 shot with their new Federal Heavyweight loads...
