Poll, run and gun or sit and wait?

I like getting on some birds early while you can work them good before they flock up some in my area. Then it seems like the birds shut up till about 10:30. Thats when I pop up the double bull and sit and wait in key feeding and strutting areas. Little harder to do with archery equipment but wow well worth the thrill and excitment.

If I have one on the roost I will stay and hunt that bird until I am sure he has left the area.
In area I have scouted I will stay put in struting area, if I hear no bird to work.
If I hear a bird I get as close as possible, but a safe distance, then call.
When hunting areas I didn't have the opportunity to do much scounting i. e. out of state....I travel the ridges listen and call to locate birds.
