Run and Gun most of the time. Sit and wait in certain situations.

depends on the situation...theres no right or wrong answer. patience can be key...if you know the birds habits and patterns and know they are likely to come back to the area....sometimes they do, sometimes they dont. i know areas that once they fly down and mill around, they are gone till dark and never come back. can sit there all day and your not going to see another turkey. i know others they roost there, fly down and come back later in the morning. gotta know your birds. if you dont, and dont have time to figure them out, id try a little of both.
i personally enjoy runnin n gunnin...sitting there waiting for a turkey just aint fun...i leave that for deer hunting. if i havent heard a bird within an hour im usually bored and runnin....even if that means driving to another location, which if im at home on the small woodlots, i usually am driving. up here at school i hunt a 10k acre gamelands and can run and gun all day and never make it to my truck...
expirience will teach you alot about when to sit and when to leave...
