What shells to try??

RE: What shells to try??
I use just the plain old winchester supremes, they are a little cheaper then some of the other loads mentioned here which is important to me (i'm a student and can't afford $50 per box shells haha). They have patterned great out of every gun i've used, including my 870. I noticed federal has this new Black Cloud ammo out for waterfowl, with new pellets "Unlike standard round steel pellets, FliteStopper pellets have a sharp cut-on-contact surface that produces bird-slaying wound channels unlike anything you've seen before." (quoted from their little blurb on Cabela's.com) that seem like they would be pretty devestating on turkeys, assuming they made them in turkey shot sizes. just a thought..

Yeah, I've never tried the Black Cloud. The only thing that I would question would be the downrange energy it might, or might not have, since it's steel. I've heard good things about it from duck and goose hunters though.

oh yeah i forgot it would have to be steel or some other non-toxic for waterfowl...i guess maybe if they could do it to lead or some of the other heavier then steel non-toxic metals it would be pretty nasty on gobblers. oh well like i said, just a thought
