Rob, I like the 3 1/2 reed calls. There's something about that raspy sound that just sounds right to my ears!! Mike has me interested now in trying one of Denny's calls, that four runner might be the one.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I Have allways ben a fan of MADS Metcalf Cutter & Knight & Hales Half Moon Cutter. Then Mike Started useing Those Gulvas Calls; and I decided to give them a wirl this fall. Boy was I impressed. They take a little time to figure out, but when you do they are awsome. The best mouth calls I have ever used. They really are worth checking out.

I like most of the M.A.D line, the original High Ball, Metcalf Cutter and the new Poison 2. One of my favorites is the Blodgett Destroyer(very easy to blow), I used it alot last spring, along with Lohman's single reed, tri-cut 911 Yelp. 3 reed sounds from a single reed call, pretty awesome. I've been thinking about trying Denny Gulvas' calls for awhile now, maybe put a few on my next Midwest order.

I have been using HS's Cuttin' 2.5 and Raspy Old Hen calls. They work for me. I don't rely on a mouth call a whole lot, but always put one in if I get a bird interested so when he starts coming in and I have my cheek down on the stock I can call to him and be motionless.

I was beginning to think that I was the only one blowing the HS Strus calls. I also use the Cuttin 2.5... that is when I use a mouth call. It is cut a lot like the way you described the Crazy Cutter (green). But I still like my Lynch box.

I like the Preston Pittman Thunder call, and his Black Diamond. The MAD Shippwreck is also an easy one for me to create turkey noise with, and my favorite is a Butski call but I can't seem to remember the name, I just know it had green reeds. This is a good discussion here, I've only been chasing birds since 95, and there are a few calls and companies on here I haven't heard of........I'm gonna have to add some new calls to the line-up this year. Great info guys!
