Well, I was in the same boat you are in a few months ago. My two choices were the SBE2 or the Beretta Extrema. I finally settled on the Extrema because of the way it felt to me. The pistol grip on the Extremafelt much better than the SBE2 in my opinion. I was also leary of the SBE's Inertia System as far as recoil goes. With those turkey loads, we need all the help with recoil that we can get.

the benelli with comfortech. im telling youa turkey load in my SBE II feels like a shot of #6 lead shot in my old gun. recoil is nonexistant really. inertia driven is EXTREMELY easy to clean as well. thats what i like about it, fail proof and easy to clean.
either way, they are both extremely goood guns, get the one that feels more comfortable for you.

I have a SBE II in the comfortech and I absolutely LOVE IT! I have not had any problems out of it, and TEmbry15 is right, it is VERY easy to clean. I used it for dove hunting and it cycled every shell out. You wont be second guessing the SBE.

I have an older model of the SBE without the recoil relief. It kicked so bad I had it ported and extended the forcing cone. Now it is manageable and still knocks the turkeys down. No problem cleaning it for me and I routinely strip it down to get to all the inside stuff. Best turkey gun I could own...short of the SBE11.

I have never shot the SBEII, but I have the M2, and it is a really great gun. It has the ComforTech system, but who notices recoil when you are shooting at a turkey????The Benellis are one of the best guns you can buy, IMO. I have never cared for the feel of the Beretta's, but that is JMHO.
