Shoping for a vest and have decided on either MO Elite II or Bucklick Creek Lounger. My first priority is storage and convience, I used primarly friction calls carry 5 or 6 and the same amount of strikers, two box calls one raspy hen and a mini boat paddle. Three decoys, 5 shells and a bottle of water.
I don't care about being compfortable, if I wanted that I would stay home on the couch with all my calls. I'd carry a backpack if it wasn'tso damn inconvient to get calls out without making alot of noise, but I still carry a fanny pack. Give me your opinion...

Well you named two good ones!! I hear great things about each one from a lot of people. It will be a toss up either way. I happened to go with the Mossy Oak brand. I never tried or looked at the Bucklick Creek model, so I can't comment on that one, but since I do own and use the M.O. Elite, I can say this. Lot's of pocket's to store many call's strikers, etc. and very well thought out pertaining to pocket locations as well. I might be a little biased here, since I do own this model, but it is a great vest for the money!! I'm not knocking the B.C. lounger, I just don't know anyone personally that owns one for me to give an opinion on it!!

I just received my Bucklick Creek yesterday. All I can say is WOW! This vest is the only one you'll ever need. This vest does everything the other one will and more because of the "lounge chair". If you sat in your living room floor with no back support, could you lean back in comfort with the Elite without falling over....you can with the BC Lounger. I'm positive the Elite is a great vest, Maytom owns one so I trust his judgement. The only thing is, he's never tried the Lounger and I know he'd be sold as well. I took my BC Lounger in to my boss today who was not in the market for a vest and has been hunting turkeys longer than I've been hunting period, (I've been hunting 20plus years)...and he's ordering one tomorrow. He couldn't believe how comfortable, light and all the pockets...they boast 26 but I haven't counted... You won't go wrong with either that is for sure, but if you don't buy the Lounger and buy the other, you won't be sorry but you'd wished you tried the Lounger first. But that's my humble opinion. See thread "Bucklick Creek High Back Turkey Lounger".

I got to pondering on what vest I actually had before I purchased the Bucklick Creek High Back Turkey Lounger...yup you guessed it, the official vest of the NWTF...the MO Elite 20 Pocket. I modified the vest with a quick release buckle in the front because I didn't like the button up front. It's also very hot in warm weather because it was more like a sleevless coat. I thought Maytom's picture looked familiar. Now I have both vest mentioned and I recommend the BCHBTL....if you want the Elite, I'd be willing to part with my at a reduced rate because I am in love with my new Lounger. I really liked the ELITE tho, now...not so much.

Check out the crooked horn vest at www.crookedhornoutfitters.com before you decide. I have an elite and bucklick creek, but like my crooked horn better than any I have tried.
