Default Bucklick Creek High Back Turkey Lounger

Anyone else have experience with this turkey vest?

My one partner in our outfitting business picked up this vest prior to last spring season. I have to tell you and share that I think this vest is the best thing to happen to turkey hunters for a long time. It has got to be the most comfortable seat/vest on the market. When the rest of us scrambled for trees and fought our seats, he's simply sit right down and lean back in comfort. The built in seat/back cradles you in comfort. You can't fall back and you no longer need to settle in with your knees up and back against the tree. It naturally positions you so you can rest your gun out in front of you on your knees and you can pivot in position depending on how the bird approaches....no more tree roots to fight.

We couldn't find the vest anymore for a lawsuit rumor or somthing and now they are available through RedHead Catalog. My other partner and I have ordered on for this season. I'm actually excited about getting this vest...heck you can sit down in the middle of a concrete slab and be comfortable.

And before anyone suspects my enthusiasm about these vests....I do not deal, own, or get royalties from the vest....I just simply love it that much. Just thought I'd share this little known vest/secret.

Any feedback?

I agree with all you said but do have one negative. Here in Ga with the season lasting until mid May with temps getting up in the 80s, I found this vest to be very hot and heavy if you cover much ground..

I have the Extreme Turkey Lounger. Best thing I've seen as far as comfort. I was thinking they must have had business trouble, I've been trying to look them up for awhile and their website is always down. I'm considering getting another one, either the High Back or the Redhead Pro Lounger.

I used mine the first time last year. Absolutely loved it. Very comfortable and LOADS of pockets. GA is right, too. Once it turns off hot you're gonna do some sweating.

Rob, while I don't own that particular vest (I have the Mossy Oak Elite) I have found that the seat cushions that come with most vests aren't very comfortable for sitting long periods of time. I realize that your vest comes with a unique back brace system, but how long do you actually "SIT" in it? The H.S. Strut seat that they sell sure makes for a 100% better "seat" than any vest cushion out on the market in my opinion. I leave the seat cushion on my vest in the up position and use it as a back cushion, in conjunction with the H.S. Seat. The Mossy Oak elite 20-pocket vest is very well thought out with all it's pockets and their locations. Each of us has our preferences on what we all like. I'm sure that most vests will do fine, but the seat cushions on most of them are pretty crappy.

Absolutely Maytom.

Put it this way, I've sat long enough to have my feet fall asleep and deal with pins and needles...lol Long enough that my knees fail me when getting up....you know, from climbing poles for a living not to mention football... What I like about it is you don't need a back brace like you mentioned leaving your vest seat pad in the upright and using against a tree. With this vest, you don't need a tree and we have not spooked birds sitting in the open with it, you know ASAT camo and all . No need to deal with tree roots, the right tree, etc...I know the H.S. seat will do the job but I don't want to carry another item and then find a tree, without the big roots, in the right place, I just want to plop where I stand, or locate closer and quick setup anywhere I need to. One thing that alway bothered me was having a bird hammer right in front of you and having to look for a tree to crawl to....with this vest I simply need only to sit down immmediately.

That's my point, I quite enjoy the comfort of this vest. All you need to do is pull out the seat and sit right down where you stand and lean back in the comfort of a lounge chair....I'm not asking you to change, just giving a heads up or recommendation on a product I feel very eager about. I can't wait to use it this spring, hell, I might watch TV in it, as soon as it comes that is.

That's the way I took it Maytom... This aint H vs M..

When we share the turkey woods, I'll let you borrow my vest

Honestly I hope we'll get a chance one day.

I am planning on ordering one of these. None of the cammo patterns are the same as mine. Does that matter? Should I just get the one that is closest to mine? Or should I get a different vest?
