Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

are they gonna stay?

Default are they gonna stay?

I've had about 6 hen turkeys on my land all fall and winter. I just saw them out today. Are they going to stay around for turkey season (march-may)? I've heard that turkeys will winter in one area and then summer in another. So if they are here now, will they leave? These are the first turkeys we have ever had on this land. I assume that if there are hens, there will soon be gobblers.

These are eastern turkeys.

Default RE: are they gonna stay?

The turkeys we have around here seem to stay in the same general area all year round ,I read where others say they move around but thats not the case with the birds we have . I would guess it could be different in other places so it would be hard to say they will stay in one place all the time . Wish you luck with them .
