Thanks guys,
Mr. Longbeard that is a ventilator choke and it patterns well with #5 shot.
The story,
I went to my old spot where I had taken turkey before, but when I got their someone else was their. I seen one strutter, but the other guy ran him off. So I came back home got something to eat and shead some clothing and hit another spot. When I got back in the thick with some grown up field I heard one start to gobble about 10 AM. He sound like he was about 100 yds away so I sat up and started to call. He would gobble but he wouldn't come in. He was in one of the fields so I made my way to him them he shut up. So I started back to my first setup. He started to gobble again but he was behind me I don't know how we past each other without spoking him. So I doubled back and set up to cut him off from another field that he was going to. After 5 min. of waiting a hen bust my setup but she just walked the other way. Know I was in between him and his hen. I saw he strutting at about 50 yards and it turned out to be a waiting game I made some soft yelp and toke him a 30 yards.
If I had any advice for new comers I would say not to give up to eairly in the game just because you spoke a bird does'nt mean the game is over I think some people's mistake is moving to soon on a setup and yes I have done it too. That gobbler was in the mood for some loving and the only thing that was going to stop him was my 870.
