Yes it is unethical, and besides where is the fun and challange in that? Turkey hunting is a huge challange when done in a fair chase senario. Trying to call them in close enough for a shot without being busted then making a shot. Anyone can put a bird on roost then go out and crack em. Just wrong in my book.

Am I wrong in thinking that this is illegal in some states? I don`t know, I may have made that part up in my head. Good luck to ya.

I agree that you shouldn't shoot turkeys on the roost. Personally for me the challange is to outsmart the bird and call him in. Just my opinion.

The best part of turkey hunting to me is the rush that i get when that bird gobbles and i see that white head then he burst into full strut WOW I couldnt get that shooting him off the roost but thats just my opinion

The thrill of the hunt is the name of the game.Hell I love it when an old longbeard beats me and then I come back another day and beat him.It's illegal to do here in Pa.

It's illegal to shoot turkeys off their roost in Ohio. Until the year 2000 it was also illegal in Ohio to get your hair cut on a Sunday. Go figure that one out!
