Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Things starting to heat up yet???

I'm in NY and I know you all that hunt NY and around it know its been slooooooooow this year. No gobbles, no birds. Its like they disapeared. The warm weather came late this year so it set thier breeding season back. Now it looks like they are all hened up and breeding now. Basically they are acting like they normally would the last couple weeks of April. So it looks like the second half of May is going to be the best time to hunt. I was just wondering if the birds have started to gobble, and hit fields strutting anywhere yet? I know here it is still horrible hunting. Just looking forward to all the hens getting bred and the toms getting vocal and active again.......

Being from NY as well, and hunting the first 5 days, I agree with your assesment. Look's like the middle towards the end of May will be better!! Hang in there!!

I've had plenty of action every morning ive gone out, except one...5-6 times...over 20 gobbles each time. Scored on the first hunt...about it. Birds seem REAL henned up!
