It sure is good to know that I'm not the only one who rests their eyelids on occasion while hunting. It sure is peaceful in the forest.

i see what your saying. I dont get bored, but i do get impatient on the days i dont hear or see anything. What helps me pass the time is....laugh if you want.....I bring a Playstation Portable to the woods with a football game in it. When things start really slowing down, i play Madden and after every down i pick the call up and call a little. Sometimes ill look up and ill have turkeys coming in. It really does keep ya busy on really slow and boring days.

Three weeks into the season and not a sound or sighting of a gobbler. Four weeks into the season two birds down. If I would have been bored I would have neverkilled those two gobblers. I probably would have just given up. A true turkey hunter never gives up hope. For one thing we don't have enough time in a short season to quit.I was tired and frustrated at times, but never bored. This happened a few years ago. By the way, a real turkey hunter doesn't take naps while hunting, he just rests his eyes for a short period.
