Finally got one on my place. He weighed 18.8 pounds with 1 inch matching spurs and a 10 inch beard. His score is 58.5. Hunting has been real tough this year. There is another longbeard on my place that I have been chasing for over a week. He has been kicking my butt. This one and the jake I struggled to get in Tenn. are the only two I have bagged this year so far. I have two more weekends to hunt in LA. Hopefully I will outsmart the other bird by then.

Nice bird superstrutter! We gotta keep knockin heads off if we wanna win. It's warming back up down here in Alabama, I'll get in the woods towards the end of the week and see if I can get us another bird or two. I haven't been much as of late, school ruins everything! Great bird superstrutter, outsmart that other one you're chasin'!

What's up guys? Haven't heard from many of you lately.Anyone killing anything. Me and Southernstrut can't carryya'll the whole season
. I'm going for my third bird this weekend. Got one more bird to get in La., then it's back off to Tennessee for one more. It's been a tough but enjoyable season so far. Good luck to all of you and keep the longbeards coming. I assume most of your seasons haven't opened yet or we would be so far in front of the other teams

I haven't been online much, haven't been hunting in about a week either. My transmission started acting up on me last Wednesday, messed up my weekend hunting. I think I got it under control now though, so I'll be trying for number 3 tomorrow morning. Should be a good morning. Good luck to everybody who's seasons are starting soon. We still got a long way to go fellas.

I got back from hunting in Kansas on Friday night and let me tell you it was really tough this year. It was cold, wet, 30 mph windsand only seen the sun on Thursday evening for a little while. Anyway I managed to kill my 1st tom on Wednesday mourning, my hunting partner and I took 2 at the same time, it weighed 21.5 lbs, 9.5 inch beard, and 1.25 inch spurs. I got my 2nd tom on Friday morning, it weighed 20.5 lbs, 9.75 inch beard and 7/8 spurs. I felt very fortunate to take these toms since the weather was terrible and the toms were decoy shy. My partner also got his 2nd tom on Thursday evening. I hope this will help our team score and I almost had a shot this morning here in Arkansas but he kept hanging up at about 70 yards for 5 hours, hopefully tomorrow it will be a different story.
