Default Using the Trumpet Call

Fellow posters, as in the past, many of my questions have been answered effectively on this board. Last Friday my wife accompanied me to our local NWTF banquet and purchased a beautiful trumpet call for me. Only problem is, I can't seem to make any sound come out of it. Can someone give me some directions to make it yelp? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have done some searches on the internet, but I can't find anywhere that will help me make this call work.

Thanks for your help!!

I would love to help you!

Make sure you set the mouthpiece, barely on your lips, and suck sharply, PM me if you want to talk!

Trumpet call is operated just like a wingbone call - you sip it like a soda straw..........

There is a post here called 'Xmas came early form JW' and I have link on there with very nice drawings and descriptions to get you started. That linked page is courtesy of Wingobne a fellow member here! he created it and it is simpel to follow.

I do use trumpets and find they are grat long range calls for me on a windy day.....
