Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

We'll do the best we can! especially since he was my teammate in Stax of rax.
Maybe you'll have better luck now that I'm not on your team. These contests bring me curses but I keep entering them.

Well team, I have some good news. This afternoon while doing some work outside, the sound of two birds gobbling caught my attention from the back side of my farm. They were gobbling at everything that made noise. These two guys hammered right up til time to go to sleep. This is the very same area that the bird I killed came from last year, and the same area that I missed a bird. Hopefully our paths will cross some April 14th. The opener cannot get here soon enough.

Sounds good dude!! The birds are starting to break up around here. I'm seeing lone Tom's in fields eating by themselves, the hen flocks are shrinking, and I sit on the front steps at work and listen to them gobble every morning.....I get more fired up by the day!

I will be captain if no one else wants to, but if someone is really pumped to do it by all means go far it.
I have asked bullmoose38 to post our team information on the first message in this thread (easy to find). Whenever a bird is taken please postthe following:

(weight, beard, spurs =points) maybe even location and date?

He can then add that next to your name!

Good Luck!

Getting a little "turkey tune up" tommorow! My friend belongs to a hunt club for pheasants but they also have turkeys(jakes) to release. It's not quite the real thing but it will hold me over until April 16.
