Back from trout fishing in NE Iowa. Great time! Cold but sunny,many fish were caught, both rainbows and browns. Kept a limit of rainbows(they're stockers) but we release all the browns(they're wild). Saw turkey tracks in the snow and had a gobbler roosted in a tree across from the motel. That really put me in the mood. Going on a tune up/practice hunt at the club(they relese a jake and you hunt him) just to get more in the mood. Keep in touch!

I saw two strutters yesterday afternoon close to the house. You talking about getting the ole ticker pounding.
This week will find me putting new sites on the 535 to eliminate that shooting high crap that caused me to miss two birds last year. I also hope to get out and being my scouting this week as temps will be in the mid to high 70s.

Patterned my Moss 500 out to 40,with a red dot scope. Using Win Supreme and Fed Flight (all 6's) control was able to put @25 in the head and neck, and eighty or so on the piece of 8x11 paper with the target on it. I think the Supremes were better,more shot in the load. The Nitro's patterned OK too.Didnt notice a big difference in any
I will be hunting in IL JoDaviess counti season 1 April 16 and Wi zone 18 season F May 16. I'm hoping to get one with the gun in April and then try with the bow in May.
