Woke up Saturday morning just at first light. Went out to sit on the porch and do some listening. It was raining hardbut the toms were gobbling anyway. Sounded like 5 different birds going at it. 16 days and counting.:)

But, that may not be too bad, I scouted last weekend and wasn't too happy with the amount of sign, but I know their around and will be back soon now that the thick snow is off the corn fields.

Good news guys!

1.) My dad's surgery was a success. The are waiting for the biopsy of the tumor and intestine that they took out, along with the lymph nodes that they removed. If they look good, then he won't even have to have chemotherapy. They only had to take a foot out of his intestines. He is recovering well. Thanks for your prayers and support.

2.) I got my bird! I'll tell the story later tonight, I've got to go do a funeral. Pictures will follow as well. I will leave you with the info, as I haven't done an official score. He weighed exactly 20 pounds (electronic mail scale) and had exactly 1" spurs on each leg (used a micrometer) and had an exactly 10" inch beard. You boys figure the score out for me, if you want. I've got to go.

Awesome Arjuna...Great news for your family and your hunting. I made up a spread sheet to keep track of score so I'll put your stats in and post the score in this thread.
