Gosh,

Not sure how the 12 guage works but I would like to hear as well cause I'm thinking of one. I already own an Encore rifle, bought one for tramping up and down the big hills of NorthCentral PA in the National forests and such, got the 7mm-08 cartrige. LOVE IT! Topped with a little Leupold 2-7x and its a DREAM to carry around. Shot four deer with it so far including the largest 8 point ever for me thus far.

I'm guessing your going to enjoy it. Consider a rifle barrel for deer or other. There is something to be said for getting used to same gun for all of your needs........

Have fun and let me know if anyone gets back some info on this one!

I picked one up last year in the 12 ga. camo version.I took 3 birds with it last year.I used the choke that was supplied with the gun.I patterned several different brands and shot sizes of shells. I was happiest with winchester 3"HV #6's.
The gun is great to tote around being so light, but it kicks like a mule with those 3" magnum turkey loads.I went and put a sims recoil pad on it and it helped tone down the kick some.

I have'nt got to pattern mine yet. but i figured it would kick like a mule. i order the wood stock thinkin it might be a little heavierand reduce some recoil but its not any heavier i don't think. i bought winchester #5 3" mag shells to try in it . thats what i shoot in my 870,may have to go to the #6 shot. THANKS

Happy Huntin

I have had one for two seasons now. I love it. Light weight & compact. I shoot the super Mad Max choke with Winchester Xtended Range #6's. This combo is great out to 45-50 yards. Also added a Bushnell Camo Scope & Limbsaver pad. I love the one shot challenge.
