Just a couple of questions.

How importent is it to have your gun camoflaged? I have an older Remington 870, but it is not camo.
What is the best choke for an 870?
What is the average shot yardage for turke? And what is the farthest you would shoot.
PS. I know that I wil need to play around with different chokes, and shot size, just looking for some place to start with this gun.

You don't need to have a camo gun, although if your gun has any shinny spots then I would put some camo tape on those spots.
Chokes differ for each gun, they kinda each have their own personality and react to each choke differently. I have a Stardot choke in my 1300 and it done wonders for it, even over some of the more expensive chokes.
Try to get them to within 35 yards if at all possible, but once you find a choke that works well for your gun, test it out to 40-45 and see for yourself if you would want to shoot that far.
Again this is just a general idea but I hope it helps some. Good luck this year.

Camo guns are more of a fashion statement than a necessity. The 870 Express models have a dull oil finish and a flat parkerized finish on the metal. They work great, as is. I use a flat black Browning myself. The gun has never spooked a turkey. As long as your gun won't glint or flash in the sun, it won't give you away.
