Default H.S. STRUT SEAT?

what is your opinion on this seat versus the old turkey vest cushion, is it worth the extra weight?

I got one last year and I love it. Throw it over your shoulder with the strap and you can carry it all day without even noticing it. I took it out every time last year. Sometimes I even use it deer hunting.

I used one for the first time this past season. It was one probably my best purchase of any turkey equipment. I formerly used the air cushion which came with and HS Strut vest. After about 3-4 hunts, it deflated, I'd fill it up,....deflat again. I think the strut seat is very comfortable. I sit for long time periods and am comfortable the vast majority of the time without any cushion. I also used it for a ground hunt for deer this past year. It's very nice for shooting while resting the gun/rifle on your knees. Edward hit on the only negative....clumsy to carry. They now make the seat with foldable legs which may make it better to carry. But a definite must for any turkey hunter.

I used one for the first time last year in combination with my vest cushion. Almost like sitting in my recliner. Loved it!!

I like mine. It does get caught in the briars some though. It doesn't matter what you sit on, after a while your butt is gonna get sore. The angle it's built on is nice for keeping you from sliding down the root system hill around most trees

I bought the one with the folding legs last spring. It's better than sitting on the ground and you hardly notice it carrying it around.
