Hello, I am brand new to the sport of turkey hunting and will be going for the first time this spring. I was given a Knight and Hale model 150 push pull call, but as I opend the package, it fell out. I dont know where to put the little wire end inside the box. Also, I have chalk, but what is the right amount and is there a specific way of putting in on. Thanks for the help.

Thanks guys. I know I will be back to learn more. I have been really geting good with a slate and crystal combo made by River Valley. I got it form a Pro guide here in KS and he spent two days with me talking nothing but turkey. Pretty neat. As it turns out, he dont live far from me and said if the schedule can get worked out then he will go with me to try and get my first one this year.
Here is another question, I have a Mossberg 500 12ga. I have a slug barrel and use it for deer, and a 28in smooth bore I use for birds. My goal is to get a poly choke made by tru glo (unsure on name spelling) that has a constriction from .730-.660, is the .660 x-full? I normaly hunt upland with a modified because of the cover, I also liked this choke because it was a one does all, any type of shot, and different chokes all in one. Would like to hear from you guys. I am thinking I will go with the hevi shot for turkey and some of the waterfowl loads they have as I am getting into that as well. Thanks

I will be hunting mostly public land for now. I am working on getting permission from several of the land owners. One nice thing about living in Southeast Kansas, you generally dont have to look to far for game. I talked with some of the state guys and they let me in on a few state owned public land places that never see turkey presure, and as one wildlife biologist put it "they could stand to be thinned out". So thats what I plan on doing! That push pull call is pretty easy to use. Anybody got any ideas on the previous post about choke tubes?
