I have an Osage Orange slate and matching striker made by Steve Harrison of Harrison Game Calls. He makes some nice calls.

Steve Harrison makes a great call as does Jerry "Dad" White, Andy Kaiser, and many others.Mine don't sound tooshabbyeither. There are many good ones out there that won't break the bank. It just depends on how much you want to spend. You can expect to spend anywhere from $35-$60 on a good call. Remember you're paying for craftsmanship and time. Go to http://www.customcalls.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=websites_brdand sift through the different websites of us custom call makers. There are many of us that hang out over there from time to time to ask questions and share ideas. It's pretty much a Who's Who hangout with some of us Wannabe's lurking around too.
