This turkey had a 9 and 1/2 in beard and inch and a 1/4 spurs on him. This is my second year turkey hunting and i still havent figured out the whole moring thing so i always kill them in the afternoon by setting up and calling softly w/ decoys. This is the 3rd bird that has been killed off of the same setup. Last year i killed a jake (my first turkey) and i called in one with an 11 and 1/2 in. beard on him that i let my dad shoot which were all shot in the same location around 10-11 in the mornin.

Ditto on the 10:00-11:00 time frame. I here alot more birds in the early morning but if you get a tom to gobble late morning chances are he's looking for love and gonna respond alot better and not hang up on you.
