Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Have you ever used an outfitter?

I used Tim Herald who runs GrandSlamOutfitters for my first Rio hunt. Accomodations and food were outstanding as was the hunting.
Two big Rios is two days and the shortest spur among them was 1 1/4".
The ranch hands took us to the area and described the area but we did our own hunting and calling alone.

Three of us are using an outfitter in Kansas next month. He has a lot of land leased and knows where the birds are. But he will just provide the transportation to and from hunting spots and meals and lodging. After hunting the Black Hills last spring on our own and wasting 2 days of hunting time trying to find areas that held birds, I'm looking forward to the KS. trip, since some of the homework is already done.
