i have a $25 gift card to bass pro so i may have to get a pair of ratchet cutters then. hand saws seem to make too much noise to me.

I don't have any yet, but I'll guarantee they're better than what I've used in the past. 3 yrs ago, I tried to cut a small branch out of my way with a pocket knife and it wound up into my knuckle on my left hand and I wound up birdless and sitting at the ER getting it all sewed back up and a finger splint to hide for the rest of the season. BTW I haven't tried cutting any more limbs with my pocket knife since.:eek:

Absolutely carry ratchet cutters.....a must...too many setups with branches just in the way....
