I don't think you are a idiot...

I just evaluate my patterns a little different than you

I only count hits that will DROP a turkey in it's track... That mean hitting the central nervous system!!! (BRAIN/ SPINE)

Not hits to veins, arterys, esophagus, eye balls or beek

So from what your saying. Out of those 3 hits at 60 yards 1 could be in the eye ball 1 in the main artery and 1 in the esophagus... Sorry dude that will not drop a turkey... Hopefully you haven't lost a few birds that flew off and died in the Neighbors chufa patch

I specifically stated BRAIN,and SPINE.When I say I got 3 hits they are brain,and spine.Not veins,not flesh,not beak,not waddles,not snood....Now eyeball..yes the brain is behind the eyeball.On the 30yd shot I said I got 22 in the Brain and spine...40 all together in the head,and neck.Those 40 in the head and neck,are including the 22 hits in the brain and spine.What's so difficult to understand about that?[&:]

I have never lost a bird. And yes I have killed birds.24 in the last 8 years.Yes,that is my state limit of 3every year.

Well obviously your hunting private landand I'm sure most of your shots are under 30 yards... So we can end this debate[]

?WHAT? You know I'm a public land hunter.I've stood up with you on that subject before.I guess you've got a short term memory loss.Didn't catch that private land joke about the chufa patch until now.Whatever.

Here are the 22 hits I counted for the brain/spine.1 is borderline. Why would I do 50,and 60 yd tests if I only shot less than 30yds?I can't beleive that you post on my threads, and do not read them all the way through.Although I have shot birds at less than 30yds on public land the majority of my shots are 45-55yds.Didn't you read that? The reason I posted the 30yd pattern pic was b/c fshafly2 made a comment about calling the bird in to 30yds instead of taking long shots. So,that's how this whole 30yd pattern debate was started, and yes I am done with it.

My quote: "On the other hand, just call the bird to within 30 yds " was in reference to my not knowing that you were taking a three-shot average... not admonishing yourlong range shooting. If you know yourcomfort range, you are well ahead of the gameover a lot offolks who have no clue....welldone.
