Default My Stealth was attacked again..

I took my Stealth cam and dried it out in my boiler room. So I decided to try it in another area. Yes, it was again attacked.. I had taken it it on an hour and a half drive in some dirt roads. I put it up along side 1 of them and was nervous about leaving it there. As i did not want it broken or walking off on me. Now this time an animal attacked it again. I am not sure about what it was.. i also got another moose on it, a young bull. Here are is some pics..

Phil, are you using a security box? If not, they are pretty inexpensive and will definately keep your camera from being abused.

I have a security device on it that I bought from Stealth. However it is the prowler and I am not sure what else I can get to cover it better. We also have some young druggies that drive around with bolt cutters that they use to break into places. They even broke into a house that was nearby in broad day light to steal the tubing out of it the owner showed up and caught those ones. So leaving a cam out near a road is not really much of an option with the idiots out there. But, I would like to be able to protect it better from wildlife though. This was the second time this year something has decided to rough it up some. They have not really hurt it any with the exception of a couple of minor scratches..

Default Black bear for sure!

Black Bear is getting your camera. One rips my camera down everytime I put it in front of my deer food. I guess the camera must smell like corn.
I bought a second camera this year and put it in a metal bear box. The old bear has put his nose right into the camera lense but he cannot get to the camera.

It looks like your camera is mounted WAY to high...

And why are you putting it on roads?

Besides that, it looks like bigfoot knocked it over

My camera is fairly high at that. Moose stand 7 feet at the shoulder and I do not want to be looking just at the belly of them. Also the grass was tall there and I didn't want any false pics.

I used an old logging road that moose has been traveling because i wanted to see the size of the moose using it. I got lucky this year and drew a moose tag and trying to figure out the best location to find a decent one at. It is for a 6 day hunt and that is not alot of time. I drove threw 2 beaver dams that were in the roads to get into there. Moose travel all the time so trying to pick an area to see one is difficult to say the least.

Yeah, i was thinking it could be a sasquach or something..
