Game Cam Battery Problems?
I'm on my second game cam and I cant get the batteries to last more than a night in the woods. The cold weather up here in maine kills those things after the second picture. Thats like 3 bucks a picture to keep that thing in the woods and running...lol anyone else have this problem.

What brand, model etc? Is it a digital or film camera?
Something is definitely wrong with it. It should last a while out there. I have left mine during extreme cold for several weeks and still had juice left when I wentin to get it.

Sounds like a prolems with your camera, I have 2 wildviews and the batteries are lasting about 2 weeks in the cold temps with quite a few pictures taken. Takes 4 c batteries for the one I own. I though that was bad.

My Moultrie lasts 3 to 5 weeks depending on temps.
I,m in the North East and its been very cold .
I use rechargable 6 volt batteries and have solar panels installed on my cameras .
Gives them more life when its cold ...

I had aLeaf river. They are good cameras you have a problem with it that is causing the batteries to drain. Call leaf river, they have good customer service or just tell Cabelas you need to exchange one.I had one of those cameras an used it for about 5 years. I always got from 3 to 4 months on a set of batteries.
