I've heard several people say the same thing about the ants, I read where one guy used ano scented ant killer around the cam and got the problem under control. I thnk he even put alittle in side the cam. good luck

last year i had that problem with one of my Moultrie's. i had the camera on a persimmon tree to capture deer footage when they came to eat. it worked good for a couple of weeks until the ants found my camera. i took the camera off the tree and shook it, when the ants ran out i crushed them with my finger. i learned to never put a camera on any type of fruit tree again.

If they have set up shop in there, you may have to throw it in the freezer for a while, then get a can of air and blow them all out of there.

Truthfully, if you want to take pictures like you did with your old cudde, dont get the stealth or moultrie. The new 6.0 mp Moultrie might do the job, but my stealth has horrible battery life and the flash is too powerful (lots of whiteouts).

Their is a new Jim Shockey 6.0 Stelath cam that Cabelas has to you might want to look at. And cudde has a bunch of new cameras, but they havnt been reviewed by anybody yet so we dont know how they perform.
