This guy is an authorized cudde dealer. New no flash $299. Sale could end at anytime according to him. A lot of guys from Michigan buy from Bernie. Heres the link

Thanks man, but this is what I'm trying to watch out for. I don't want a refurbished unit. I want a brand new cuddeback.

My suggestion would be to save yourself $100 and buy a Moultrie I-40 instead. It is a much better camera. Quicker trigger times and longer battery life.
If you are dead set on a cuddeback you might check around. There are several legitimate online stores with some decent sales going.
That's hard for me to believe npaden. I have had two of the moultrie 100 units for two years. Although they are not the I-40 or 60 series, moultrie is not known for real fast trigger speeds like the cuddes. I wish they were as I like the moultrie cam but facts is facts.

Check out the reviews on www.chasingame.com They actually have facts, not "I had a completely different camera from the same manufacturer 2 years ago and it wasn't as good".
The I-40 had consistent 1.5 second trigger times without a flash and 2 second trigger times with flash. The cuddeback noflash that they tested had 3 second trigger times with and without flash.
I have a Moultrie Gamespy 200 and it's trigger time is probably 4 seconds. That is the camera that Cuddeback uses in it's advertisements to show how much faster it's trigger time is than Moultries.
I was trying to help you choose a better camera at a lower price. If you want to pay more for a slower camera you are more than welcome to do so.
Good Luck.

I appreciate your help npaden, I really do. I haven't seen any test reports. I just have read reports from people who have owned both cams and they all say the cudde has a 3/4 sec trigger and I didn't think moultrie I-40 had close to that. Please don't take it the wrong way. I guess I have been misinformed about the cudde's speed.
And MichiganBowbender, I went to the sight and the refurbished word spooked me. I'll call him up and talk to him. Who knows, maybe shipping is free or something and I CAN get a deal with him. Thanks to both of you guys.

Give him a call, his name is Bernie. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Good luck whatever you do.I personally do not own any Cuddes. Last summer when I decided to et into trail camming, I had a pre-conceived notion that the Cudde's were the way to go, and I think they were a couple of years ago.I did countless hours of research on all the trail cams, and asked lots of questions. I found that Cudde's reputation had taken a big hitbecausetheir quality had diminished and their service was less than expected.Happens to a lot of growing companies. Too big-too fast I guess. They are marketing genuises though and sales continue.
The IR No Flash has had a lot of issues and has been a big time dissapointment for a lot of buyers. Go to the www.michigan-sportsman website, register and do a search on Cudde No Flash. You will see lots of opinions on them, mostly negative. I think Cudde is beginning to see the light, and hopefully things will improve.
All that being said, if you want a Cudde IR, then Bernies your man. He will treat you fair, andwillingly help with any issues you may have, whether you buy from him or not.He goes by the name Feed Man and contributes regularly.
By the way, after all the research I did, Iwent homebrew and will never look back.

Cuddeback noflash:
Moultrie I-40:
The I-40 does have a 2 second trigger with the flash:
I haven't seen a single person who has botha cuddeback noflash and an I-40 that recommends the cuddeback noflash. I have seen the reverse though.
It sounds like cuddeback made some great cameras in the past and it sounds like Moultrie made some pretty crappy ones in the past. But currently that is not the case.
Oh well, no skin off my back either way.
Nathan
