Default Moultrie Camera 1.3 question

Stupid question but, are these waterproof when you latch them? I just got a call from my camp and they are telling me that the creek has risen so much that my cam is probly under water.

I have two of the Moultrie 1.3 mp cameras and I know they are rain proof, but I don't think they are flood proof. I'd say your cam is wet inside but it may be ok after you dry it out good and clean it up.
LOL anyway, I dropped my cell phone into the toilet one time and after retrieving it and washing it off, I took out the battery and put it outside in the sun to dry out. After about two hours, I recharged the battery and it worked fine and still works today. Go figure. LOL.

Thanks. I spoke to my Father in law again and he said that they couldn't get within 800 yards of it due to all of the water. It is over the gas tank on a Honda Foreman, and they tried several different ways to get to it. I am sure that it is wet possibly completely under. The earliest that I can get it is next weekend, hopefully it won't be to late. I know that from now on I will be hanging them high and angled down.

I know of a moultrie 200 that did survive a flood. I wouldn't worry too much.

We've lost three cameras due to flooding in Texas. Bought some trail pods for the cameras... going high and angling down for me also.
