What do you think the left side of this rack is going to end up doing?

A club horn. My guess is it won't become much of anything. He's a very young buck anyway so he's got a couple more seasons to develop.

IL is this because of genetics or nutrition? Thanks for the info.

I would say nothing is wrong at all. It is the start of his G2 beam and the main beam has just not grown past it. When they start to make a new points it looks like that. They don't grow theremain beam first and then sprout up points likelittle trees. They grow around like that and every time it makes a new pointit makes a new fork like that as one starts to go up and one is going forward. Here is a pic of the same thing.

I don't see a problem with him at all. He's simply a yearling buck and you honestly never know what antler growth they are going to post up that first season. I'm betting by Aug you'll see a smallish 5 or 6 pointer out of him. I bet next year, he'll look noting like that. I think he's doing find for antler growth for this early into it, he's obviously getting plenty of nutrtion as nearly all of our IL bucks do. Genetics won't show in him for atleast 2 more seasons. Give 'em time, he could be your dream buck in a few years! Thanks for sharing your photo bud.
